Usually a funeral has flowers. These can be personlised to include specific
colours or flower types. They can also include personal items e.g. vegetables, knitting needles, wool, toy tractors and cows, hay, ribbons, golf clubs, paint brushes etc. Or instead of flowers you could have other items that have a more personal touch e.g. hats, gumboots, tools, sewing equipment, knitting tools etc.

Photos of a person’s life and the life they have shared with their family can be a wonderful
way to personalise the service and provide a focal point as people remember special days gone by.
The slideshow is usually accompanied by a piece of music and can be played either during the service as a time of reflection, or as people are gathering before and after the funeral.
You could also, or alternatively, display photos in frames or on a photo board for guests to see.
Another way to personalise a service is to have a theme.
It can be themed around a personal passion, a special achievement, a favourite colour or a much-loved place e.g. Hi-Vis, Super-Hero, Elvis, Starwars, etc.
The theme can also be carried through to the service sheets and other graphics.
