While the average number of attendees at a funeral in Taranaki is around 80 people, the Alert Level 2 restrictions have some implications for larger services.
The new rules require:
- A maximum of 100 people per discrete area – this means we can still accommodate a large public service at our Chapel of W. Abraham by seating 100 people in the main Chapel and another 100 people in our adjacent Reception Lounge.
- Catering after the service is still allowed, but must be broken into groups of 100 as above.
Please talk to us about all of your options.
Public Funeral with more than 100 people

- These groups of 100 cannot mix and must stay separated.
